About the Author

Sonny Arguinzoni Jr. was born in 1969. His parents Sonny and Julie Arguinzoni founded Victory Outreach International, a faith based Christian organization dedicated to working in the inner cities of the world. Though Sonny grew up in church, he strayed away from the path his parents had taken. However he couldn’t escape the calling of God upon his life. In 1988 at the age of 19 he received  the Lord into his heart and has been serving faithfully in the ministry.

In 1991, Sonny became a licensed minister, he then graduated in May 1994, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree from Life Bible College in San Dimas, California and also studied at Fuller Seminary. He has preached and led evangelistic crusades throughout the United States and in many countries around the world. He is the co-host of “Treasures” television program. He helped establish G.A.N.G. International (God’s Anointed Now Generation), a ministry dedicated to developing the lives of young people to reach their full potential in Christ. He challenges youth, men and women, young and old to continue to reach their God given destiny.  

Sonny’s preaching is unique and especially  anointed to reach the inner city. The uniqueness of his message is that he is able to identify with gang members, drug addicts and yet be affective with those raised in a Christian environment.

In 1998, God called Sonny to be the Senior Pastor of the Mother Church, the founding church of Victory Outreach International in Southern California.   Sonny and his wife Kim have had the privilege of pastoring for over 23 years and Sonny has over  30 years of ministry experience.  They have five children in whom are also involved in the ministry.  God has placed a special anointing upon Sonny‘s life and has given him a great vision and a steadfast faith to see the continued fulfillment of the promises that God has given to the ministry through his parents and founders Pastor Sonny and Julie Arguinzoni. 

What’s next?

Victory Outreach Chino is the first church in the movement of Victory Outreach International. It has been spreading the message of hope in Jesus Christ for over 53 years. Our first location was established in 1967 in East Los Angeles but our founders Pastor Sonny and Sister Julie Arguinzoni were filled with a burden to see change within the inner cities. The congregation moved to La Puente, California, in 1985 they built a base for what would become a global ministry. Today, there are over 600 ministries worldwide. In 1989, Pastor Sonny Sr. handed over the position of lead pastor to his son, Sonny Arguinzoni Jr. In 2007, Sonny Arguinzoni Jr. lead the congregation from La Puente to their new church home in Chino, California.

Victory Outreach Mother Church has remained true to its original vision of reaching treasures out of the darkness and has expanded to reach people from all walks of life. Pastor Sonny Jr. is committed to upholding the great legacy that has been established through this church and remains a base in the movement.
